Welcome, April! By the time you read this, we will be well into the month and I won’t be able to play any April Fool jokes on you! No matter, I’ve never been much of a fan of those anyway! Once as a teenager, my favorite radio station KHJ in Los Angeles (sister station to KFRC in the San Francisco Bay Area) announced they were going to change their format and start playing elevator music for half the day... So they did….and then announced, “April Fools!” Another BIG deal in April is TAX day! Yep, the pesky deadline for filing income tax returns. I personally don’t think most people mind paying taxes as long as they feel they’re being put to good use and not wasted. DIRECTION, AND INTENTION, DETERMINES DESTINATION!
Not too long ago I heard one of my favorite leaders say these words: “Direction, and intention, determines your destination”. That stuck with me. I don’t know about you but seems daily I battle keeping my mind and feet on a path toward productivity vs just activity. You may have heard me say in past newsletters that Your Routine = Your Results. For me to ensure the right direction of being productive and valuing others each day I need to examine my habits. As you know, we can create and establish effective and productive habits but also develop bad habits.
So, as I began working on HOW to better help myself, my team and you as we head into a new year, I began by looking at MY habits. It is amazing how you can start out with a great routine of good habits but over time - drift. To hedge against that, I looked back at the habits of the most effective people.

Not that I am the Dr. of Love or anything like that… But then again, most people would probably like to believe they are. After all -Love is a many splendored thing. When my husband and I were planning our wedding back in 2001, our wedding planner suggested we reveal to all in attendance those words that convey our
LOVE for one another. My favorite Love Description is from 1 Corinthians 13: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
